The most powerful thing you can do today costs nothing at all.
Write it on a sticky note. Set it as your phone wallpaper. Let it follow you through the day.
Today's practice is deceptively simple. You are not doing anything new, learning a new script, or solving a problem. You are simply going to stop — and watch your child for 10 uninterrupted minutes. That's the whole practice.
Set a timer for 10 minutes. Sit near your child while they play. Don't guide. Don't correct. Don't suggest. Simply watch them as if you were seeing them for the very first time.
Take it one step at a time. There's no rush.
What did you notice about your child when you stopped trying to direct anything?
Did the urge to guide or correct come up? What was underneath it?
How did it feel to just be there — without an agenda?
